Thanks to my friend Mal, who reminded me (after I've been trying so valiantly to forget) of Le Creuset's line of cast iron cookware. Cast iron is great to cook with - it lasts forever, it's durable, the heat is spread evenly and you can go from stovetop to oven in a snap. Some pieces I'm loving:
