So we're trying a new thing: Alex tells me what he wants and I try to make it. This is Amy's rosemary bread I got at Dean & Deluca on Friday. By Sunday, it was pretty hard. So I sliced it, brushed with olive oil, then topped with golden prosciutto and brushed with balsamic vinegar. Put it in the oven for a bit. In the meantime, I fried some eggs and in a smaller pan, some sliced roma tomatoes in olive oil and more balsamic vinegar. As those finished, I tossed some fresh basil on top. To plate: took the bread slices out, topped with egg and served with tomatoes.
